Supporting the education of children

G4S Ghana recognized that a great many children did not have the opportunity of getting an education because their parents could not afford it. This limitation we observed is most prevalent with children born to single mothers.

In light of this G4S Ghana sourced out two single-parent families and offered school scholarships for three children. Twin girls Rebecca and Regina Asino and Bernice Afriyie have been enrolled in school. For two years G4S has not only provided school fees but uniforms, book supplies/stationery and monthly food provisions. Additionally their health needs and accommodation are taken care of by G4S. Their progress has been remarkable, and we are very excited about their futures.

G4S Ghana has plans to extend this initiative by sponsoring clever but needy pupils/students in 2010.
